Re: Today I Made:

Made peanut butter peanut butter cup ice cream (with dark chocolate peanut butter cups from Trader Joe''s, rather than Reese's). I think I put in too much peanut butter. It tastes fine, but the texture isn't ideal, IMO. I'll probably try again in the future, but with a bit different proportions. Als...

On Tuesday night I made okonomiyaki for the first time with a couple friends. It was good, and not too difficult! Holy heck, nagaimo is really disturbing to grate, though. >_< Last night I just boringly roasted some potatoes and cauliflower with spices and onions. Oh well. Basics are also nice somet...

In the past few days I've made a lentil and butternut squash tagine, some berry crisp, brownies and a lasagne whose filling was ricotta+spinach+collards+pureed white beans. These were all good ideas. I've also started making ice cream with my ice cream maker, and holy crap, this is the best thing. T...

Re: Today I Made:

I made basically this - https://moosewoodcooks.com/2011/10/navajo-stew/ - which I don't know that I believe is particularly Navajo, but whatever, Moosewood. As per usual, I adulterated it by adding a couple more vegetables and more beans, but it seems like a relatively simple and tasty thing to make...

I don't remember the name of the recipe unfortunately. It's from a book called Teff Love and everything we made from it turned out great (other than injera bread - we don't have the right pan). I can try to look up the recipe in more detail when I get home. Cool, thanks so much for sharing. I might...

Ethiopian food is also great for veggie stuff (there's this recipe we often do which is basically cabbage, potatoes, carrots, olive oil, and hot peppers and it's ridiculous how flavorful it gets). Re: Food fleeting thoughts

I need more reliable healthy, vegetarian recipes that I can put into the rotation. It feels like I'm very frequently making a kind of chili, a kind of curry, a kind of (crustless) quiche, or a kind of stir fry. Occasionally a kind of soup. I wonder if there's a way of finding recipes by characterist...

There are bands that I really like that, frankly, are kind of meh live; and there are others that I love to see ...

I took a baked potato and sliced it and put the slices onto pizza crust. (The other toppings went on top of it.)

It probably wanted some bechamel kind of sauce rather than just garlic-infused olive oil, too, and maybe that would've helped the potato adhere better.
