Audio Connector Oddities

So, a friend wants an adapter to plug into an old-style, 5-pin military radio (U-229/U connector), from a headset with a more modern 2.5mm single plug.
Voltages will of course be hell.
Anyone have any ideas?

No, but in versions where you can't use /item, it's impossible to get netherrack without going to the Nether. Which doesn't work in SMP.
