Re: Health Care's Stalking Horse

Is the government product good? Well, Commonwealth Care, which is available in MA to uninsured residents earning less than 300% FPL (about $32,000/yr), gives you an eye exam and a free pair of glasses every two years; co-pay for the exam runs from $0 to $20 by plan type (determined by income group ...

Re: Health Care's Stalking Horse

No one (well, no one sane) is ever going to say that no public systems should exist. That people have to be taxed, and some public institutions have to be created with those taxes, is a given. The argument is whether it's the best answer in this instance. Myself, i regard publicly funded education a...

Imagine if the government made you buy Pepsi. Would you bother buying coke, which is superior*, if you already had a fridge full of Pepsi? Yeah, the market info shows several thousand units moving daily, sometimes hundreds of thousands, and it's not like i can't afford to slightly undercut the standing orders with that kind of profit margin.

That said the time involved does concern me. I don't have access to a research PoS, after all.

The skill and cost that goes into a salvager is pretty negligible. You need Science IV for a tractor beam, which also cost about a mil apiece. All-in-all i'd be surprised if my salvager Cormorant cost me 3mil and took more than four days of training.

G.I.Joe: Resolute (not the live-action movie)

Viewable here

Basically it's an animated G.I.Joe movie, geared more towards an adult audience. I thought it had a bit of an "anime" feel to it, which kept me from liking it too much, but my room-mate loved it. Either way i definitely recommend giving it a watch.
