Re: Amusing science misconceptions

The terminal velocity of a penny is pretty low. I mean, a penny probably hits it's terminal velocity when chucked off the roof of a single story building.* It'll sting, probably, but I doubt it'd even break skin. *talking out my ass here.. probably a five-story building. Hell if I know, I just know...

I worked at a grocery store in high school when the cashier I was bagging for was robbed. I was friends with her from school, and I felt her tense up. I looked over and noticed a big dude with a fanny pack (yes, a fracking fanny pack) that he claimed held a gun. I remember he said something to the e...

Indeed. There's a whole forum over at Giantitp.com dedicated to contests and art in the OoTS style. This is actually one of the villains of a PBEM DnD campaign some friends of mine were in.

Okay, NBC Nightly News just got my vote. On the CBS Evening News, Katie Couric, who said only last month, "I don't think we need to ever utter the name Paris Hilton," uttered her name as she led off a report by observing, "Paris Hilton's very early release from jail has brought howls ...

There was a 7-Up game or something that was like a Othello game, had all sorts of crazy boards to play on? That was called 'Spot', I think. Surprisingly fun. On the NES front, I am man enough to admit I played and liked DuckTales. Super Dodgeball, River City Ransom got a lot of play as well. Other ...

Surrealism, and just pure ridiculousness. I still, to this day (not saying much, considering it's only been a year or so), consider this to be the best strip of any comic ever. The expressions are perfect, and the monologue is fantastic. I also love their take on KJA and Brian Herbert's 'Dune' nove...

Old School PC games: Wing Commander: Privateer - Still play it, if only because none of the contenders since are as fun. Freelancer, how I hate thee. I need to try X3 again, too. Red Storm Rising - Another I still play. You make a difference in the war for good or ill, with a real sense of satisfact...

I don't think Ender's Game should count considering it just can't seem to get made.

Ender's Game is in turnaround, but we're in negotiations with another studio already and things look good.

Iron Man (down the road a bit)
The Battle of Red Cliff

Back when I read comics the Surfer and Iron Man were my favorites.

Try to see:

Live Free or Die Hard

Wife will drag me to:

Harry Potter
