What now? I'm typing this from my tablet, of course.

Re: 1185: "Ineffective Sorts"

It's pseudocode. The last panel has linux commands. Of course, starting with shutdown -h +5 would shut the computer down, losing the rest of the commands. Technically, it waits for five minutes first, and in fact has to be scheduled first, since once the disk is clean, there would be no shutdown co...

Also, the Wikipedia page for Etiology clearly says, "Not to be confused with Etymology, the study of the history of words, or Entomology, the study of insects."

I don't doubt that's the word Randall was going for.

Re: 0964: "Dorm Poster"

When this comic came up on my RSS, the roommate had no glasses. When I look at the site, he does. What's up with that change? Thank you for validating this concern over my sanity. When I looked at the site four hours ago, he had none. I wondered in the last panel if he was looking at the poster or ...

It took me a moment, but I see what you did there.

Re: 0831: "Weather Radar"

Is it just me, or was it a little confusing as the weather formation looks like it should have been travelling South/North, rather than West/East? In Texas, the major storm systems are almost exclusively west-to-east. Sometimes we will get a north-to-south, but the really ugly ones blow in from the...

Re: 0831: "Weather Radar"

I'm the developer who wrote the bulk of the code that parses and composites the NEXRAD data into a national map for My-Cast Weather. First I started reading, and I was doubtful. Then I got to the iPhone UI, and I was fairly sure you were fooling. Next, I got to the part about drugging him and impla...
