Well, pressing 911 or 112 does make sense, because such combinations are more likely intentionally dialed whereas 999 or 111 would statistically imply many more unintentional calls.

Plato describes us as being trapped in a world of appearances, but a world where our brains interact with things external to them (Plato is neither a sceptic about knowledge nor a silly solipsist). Furthermore, "brains in a vat" scepticism is refuted by semantic externalism 8)

No, it was just a few politicians who used the percieved danger of the new to make headlines for themselves by appearing as if they were caring for the safety of kids. It was ridiculous (and regardless of health care system).

Hi all, this thread needs clarification; for skateboarding was, in fact, forbidden in Norway between 1978 and 1989, and skaters were literally criminalized. They built ramps in forests, or wherever they could stay hidden from the police.
