Re: Do the ends justify the means?

It's the classic 'kill Hitler' thought experiment, would you shoot Hitler to save 6,000,000 lives? how about 5,999,999? or 5,999,998? and so forth until you reach one for one. I wouldn't for any number personally, grand ends can never justify poor means, but pure means can always justify unsatisfact...

Re: Wikileaks Founder been under House-Arrest for Six Months

^ Thats a really good article, I recommended everyone to read it. Julian Assange had something very powerful, wikileaks, but there is no way of avoiding the fact that he simply blew it. He shouldn't have had gotten himself tied up in all this rape crap (not saying I believe in the pre-convictions). ...

Re: Is this evidence that the Bible contains false statement

You make good points. Remember though, that the bible is an interpretaion of the word of god by many people (excluding the many changes made in the middle ages) and thus one account can differ. Though you should probably ignore me as I'm an Agnostic (I cant know wether a deity exists or not, and nor...

Re: *shamefaced* I like Windows XP.

Go to command prompt and type:

Code: Select all

format C:\

your problems will all be solved in a couple of minutes

Cheers!!!

Re: Opera, Chrome, Firefox, OR?

there IS evidence Who, unlike Google, probably doesn't anonymize data after 18 months? besides the fact that its still 1 and a half years, this function doesn't actually remove the data, look below. and you can still be connected with it too What does it mean to anonymize the logs? We will change so...

Re: Best language for n00bs

the best first language is surely python the best noob language is IphoneOS (jokes, jokes, they couldn't even handle that) if you want power for a high level project (game, application), consider cython (evolution of pyrex) it has been proven to, with just static variables and c'd functions (commonl...

Re: Opera, Chrome, Firefox, OR?

I use Opera for casual browsing as it has a great tab stacking feature, and Firefox for gritty stuffs. I do not plan to EVER use chrome (note lower case) as it is from the identity thief google. DID YOU KNOW>>>that because the address bar is combined with the search bar, when you type a web address,...

Re: Mac vs PC

Re: [PHYSICS] Challenge Problem

Hey guys, I'm not sure if this is what your looking for but my dad said this was a problem given to someone he knows in a job interview.
