Re: The advantages of marriage.

In the U.S. Army there are a number of advantages to getting married and they often force people to get married before they are ready or should because of the financial reasons. You get to live of post and out of the barracks regardless of rank (given your duty assignment allows this), you get more ...

Re: I feel really grown up when..

I feel grown up when I realize I can retire in 10 years. I also feel grown up when I go to school in preparation of my next job and look at the other students and think of them as kids or when in my history book there is a picture of one of my friends(roommate at the time) in the chapter that covers...

Re: Best Buy's Geek Squad

I know four people that work at my local Best Buy and they are very competent at diagnosing and fixing the computers that they work on, when they are not high. The problem is they are high quite often and actually joke about mistakes they have made while working on someone’s computer while high.

Re: Things few people know about you

I shot and killed a man that broke into my house after he kicked in the front door and was opening my bedroom door. I had initially stayed in the bedroom and was calling 911 on my cell when the person entered the bedroom and I fatally shot and killed him. He apparently used to live in the house with...

Re: DADT Repeal Passes in the House

I love how many see DADT as an anti-gay law. It's not. It's a pro-functioning-army law. Sexual tension + frontlines = catastrophe. Ever wonder why women don't serve on the front lines? Ever wonder why men and women are kept separate at every possible reasonable moment? And hey, maybe I'm the crazy ...

Re: Man Sues Spammers for Living

Can you explain exactly how it is an abuse of the legal system? It seems that the spammers are doing illegal things, illegal things which ought to be illegal. Plenty of other court cases that are delayed, pushed back, etc, because of cases such as this, which just transfer money around, rather than...

I am 27 Years old now and my advise to myself 10 years ago would be:

Do not join the Army Reserves and attempt to go to college, go straight to Active duty. All you will do while you are supposed to be going to college is getting drunk.

Re: DADT Repeal Passes in the House

Being homosexual in the Army will be made legal. So far I have not seen anything addressing Article 125 of the UCMJ—Sodomy, this article states: It is unnatural carnal copulation for a person to take into that person’s mouth or anus the sexual organ of another person or of an animal; or to place tha...

Re: DADT Repeal Passes in the House

The question I have about DADT is, if it is repealed, will more people join the military than leave? That and of course quality of people joining/leaving; in my mind the people that "can't be near no <explicative deleted>" are probably the same people that commit the war crimes that are a...

Surprisingly it is hard to find a site that actually addresses the minimal force that could cause a lethal injury to a baby. The sites just repeatedly refer to 2-3 seconds of violent shaking.

Re: Firearms

One argument that always comes up is that 'if guns are made illegal, only criminals will have guns'. That's a great tautology, but criminals usually use guns that were legally manufactured for use in the United States, sold to a legal buyer, and (if necessary) registered at the time of purchase. Re: USMC [s]stops[/s] Homosexual Prosecution

As of right now all administrative separations pertaining to homosexual conduct have to go through their approriate Secretary (Secretary of the Army, Navy or Air Force). So realistically an administrative separation for anyone who is homosexual is just not going to happen right now.
