Re: "Starwatching" Discussion

In a hilarious subversion of tradition, it appears I have been in Randall's head. I haven't read xkcd in days, but suddenly I got the idea to watch the Lion King. And then I read the comic. :D

Do people realize that The Hat Liking Guy Previously Known As Black Hat Man must have been waiting in the submarine in the lake since before it froze?

He's Batman.

While I haven't studied physics for many years (or months), I have an instinctive understanding of it. Usually limited to spotting, at a glance, wrongful special effects in movies. ("Hey, that monster fell way too fast, gravity doesn't work that way!") And gyroscopes freak me out too. >_>

Re: "Pix plz" Discussion

Most places I've been on the net there has been very little trolling or hazing. I've actually never been told "tits or GTFO" or words to that effect, but I guess that may be because I'm deliberately ambiguous about my gender. Gender politics don't interest me so much as the possibility, on...

Yeah. Teleportation working that way, you'd either have to kill the original or deal with what Battle Angel Alita calls the "alias problem". Neither option is very appealing, and I think two reasons it'll never be used for people. Warping is much better. :3

I was thinking about asking everyone to use real bullets, no random rifle with blanks crap so no one can be sure if they kill me. Stupid idea anyway, it's a group effort, you don't not kill someone if you're part of a firing squad.

But then I realized quoting Preacher would be more badass. :)
