Re: Office

I use LaTeX when possible, but my school only has MS Office, and I do like the ribbon interface. However, it does seem somewhat silly that, with the monitors my school has, nearly 50% of the hoizontal space is wasted --- shouldn't the ribbon go on the side? It also occurred to me that solidworks 201...

Re: Why Windows is better than Linux

Linux comes with a built-in feature that prints directly to a PDF. Windows does not have this feature, and must have yet another third-party software app installed (BullZip is quite nice for this function) for when the printer runs out of paper or we need a digital copy. The reason I like linux is ...

You may be wondering how I know that- back when I was in Boy Scouts, my scoutmaster had a really old plate (XXX-888 long after NC had gone to XXX-8888, and was early in the Bs), and until the state noticed that there were completely a lot of unreadable plates on the road and started sending people ...

One of my friends used an unmodified wiimote with an led taped to a pen body to emulate a smartboard (basically using the pen to click) with a projector (no other materials; I watched him set it up). It doesn't require direct contact because the led was pointing at the screen. Putting the ir led on ...
