Re: Strange base64-ed code

The mu. page is now back. I assume it's either UTC, UTC+1 (France time), or Kong's timezone. Note that StudioCime's last activity on Kong is "played a game (15 hours ago)", without the name of the game. So the game is not yet publicly available.

I've also been getting only white frames since several days. I saw none of the "new" frames on the site. :(

I'm not sure about the "moo" thing. With your pookey tool, I get the "moo" result whatever message I use as input in "From Morse" mode. Note that @thalie is not necessarily a twitter account, it could simply be their server name. Maybe thalie is one of their devs and th...

Re: 1446: "Landing"

What I'm wondering is : In present conditions, can it recharge over several days (assuming the 1.5 hours can do some recharging when it is in sleep mode), and do stuff in short bursts until better lighting conditions obtain? Neither BBC nor ESA answer this directly. In fact this question has been a...

Re: Pyramid stacking of balls

Yep, I noticed that. I got many partitions with 2 copies of a shape and 2 copies of its mirror image. They were (as expected) the only "invalid" partitions that pass all my heuristic checks. :)

Re: Pyramid stacking of balls

I've written my program so that the four sets are always connected: the sets are initialized with <vertex> (+ one adjacent ball for one set --> 15M initial candidates) and I try to expand them by adding an available adjacent ball to the current set, if it's possible. I also use a "degree distri...

Re: Pyramid stacking of balls

Thanks! I wasn't expecting to have so many 3D pentominos, I don't think this will be feasible by hand... Yesterday I just thought about this: what's preventing me from writing a program is that I don't see how I can automatically "try to fit" 4 given pentominos in the pyramid (this seems p...

Re: Pyramid stacking of balls

They are arrangements of five balls (IIRC there are 12 normal 2D pentaminoes, symmetries removed) Manual testing is what I'm currently doing, I'm just afraid to miss solutions because sometimes it's not easy to see if a shape can be rejected or if it fits (but with some tricky pattern). And that's i...
