I also want to learn German, but before I do, I'd like to know how useful it is. My ultimate goal is to get a job that involves using a foreign language day-to-day, along with my skills as a software engineer. Well, technically speaking, prices don't get more precise than 1 cent (unless you're at a gas station!) so this is really just the integer knapsack problem with everything divided by 100. Polynomial time! :wink:
