Re: [SAFESPACE] Woman Thread - #sharkweek on irc.foonetic.net

So...tl;dr happy next period! (which is good as I will likely be at a karate event for the weekend when it hits) Yay! Good luck for a happy period! A word of advice- the first time you take the cup out when you're actually bleeding, do it in the shower. It can get very slippery and having a tub to ...

Hard cider. If you can't get past the taste of more "serious" seeming drinks and don't want people to htink you're in high school when you're 25, order a Woodchuck or a Hornsby's. Trust me. (That scenario has happened, btw)

Re: [SAFESPACE] Woman Thread - #sharkweek on irc.foonetic.net

I really need to start keeping track of Shark Week. It's actually quite regular, but I just don't pay attention. I started bleeding this morning which explains why I was sore and crampy all week. I would like so much to be able to use my DivaCup. Less wasteful than tampons, more convenient...but I c...

I've never had trouble buying pads or tampons. I was over the embarrassment by the time I was actually buying my own. I don't get the point of reading on the toilet. What do you do that takes so long that it's worth dragging out a book to begin with, and why wouldn't you rather sit someplace more comfortable if you just want to read? Possible solutions: lean forward, rest elbows on knees and hold book in front of y...

Well, if you go with cloth pads then you can legitimately use "on the rag". :) Off the top of my head, the options for Shark Week that don't involve disposables are cups, sea sponge tampons, cloth pads, and taking birth control that makes you not bleed. If you don't want things inside you,...

Wow, Jadestone, that corset thing is gorgeous. I might suggest wearing it over something a bit fancier than a plain t-shirt, though. The top is pretty dressy and I think a slightly nicer shirt underneath would bring it out better. But you should definitely wear it; it looks great.

I don't have a problem with heel height, per se, but I still can't wear most heels because they just don't fit my feet.
