Also remember that Pandora is the one planet were Intelligent Design might not be bullshit. Treegoddess definitely has some degree of control over the local animals, and could therefore be plausibly directing their evolution.

Ludicrously unoriginal movie. Every character was a stereotype, and most of the dialogue was stock phases. I wasn't expecting total originality, but both Star Wars and Harry Potter use the Hero's Journey pattern, but Harry Potter doesn't read like Star Wars transcribed to a different setting. Avatar...
