Re: 1732: "Earth Temperature Timeline"

I can't remember where I heard it but I'm sure that archaeologists now have evidence that the Americas were populated before the land bridge (that is now the Bering Straits) formed. I'd be really interested to hear more about this. Modern explorers have demonstrated that ships from ancient Egypt co...

Re: 1738:"Moon Shapes"

The last one reminds me of the pictures of Earth at night so that could, theoretically, be seen if we had colonies on the Moon (assuming those colonies were wasteful about light emissions and didn't care about light pollution).

Re: Things you remember watching but can't remember the name

I think this film was made more recently but it was set in the 60s and 70s (mainly 70s). The story is: There's an American family with 2 daughters. The eldest comes of age in the 60s and leaves to travel Europe. A few weeks/months later word comes that she has committed suicide. In the 70s the young...

For those who are wanting an approximate [1] timeline to the story: A PI hired by the Royal Correspondent of the NotW is charged with phone hacking. At his trial it is said that it was only the Royal family and a few celebrities. NI claimed that it was just "one rogue reporter". In 2009 Th...

As I see the Amy thing: In the episode with The Silence, the door clangs shut on Amy she then sees a woman sliding a hole in the door. What I think happened was that the door clanged shut and she was with the Silence. They spirited her away, made a copy and put that back in the room. Like the Flesh ...

Also known as a warp drive to laymen. I think it's funny how Star Trek thought of it before physicists figured out it may be possible. Star Trek's Warp Drive is slightly different. It turns the fabric of space time into, essential, a wave and starships into high-tech surf boards. The idea is that, ...

Normally methods that expand-contract space don't locally affect c. How does yours do so?

I was thinking of doing the stretching/compressing along the time axis.

How does the spoiler rule apply to the "Things you remember watching but can't remember the name of" thread? It seems that things are spoilers are given freely because those bits of plot are usually the things people remember the most.

I would second the new Star Trek series (TNG, DS9, Voyager and Enterprise).

If you like Vampires then I would recommend Moonlight and Blood Ties. You might want to look up the UK mini-series from the 90s called Ultraviolet (but that does have a different feel to it)?

Worst film I've ever seen is House of Witchcraft . It's an Italian horror film. Everything is predicatable and obvious.
