I adore maps. I keep a folder of my favorite ones, like a cartographer's porn stash. Just because you've driven with your eyes closed, and no harm resulted, doesn't mean the same thing will be the case next time, and doesn't mean that driving with your eyes closed should be accepted or supported. You can claim that driving with your eyes closed isn't a problem so long as you don't ...

So, is every decision to base anything on faith inherently non-rational? If yes, is there any way someone exercising faith can be anything but wrong (logically)? It's not that they're "wrong." They're merely unjustified in claiming to be right. In other words, we can't disprove God's exis...

Tentative success. :) I downloaded the registry patch from think_of_a_shape's link, then checked the affected keys in the hopes that some of them correspond to the four default libraries. They did. I deleted them, then logged off/on. That was about 30 minutes ago, and so far, no sign of reappearance...

There is, but it doesn't seem correlated. I have one restore point made at 10 AM this morning, and another made four days ago (both during Windows Updates). The libraries are reappearing much more frequently - every 3-4 hours, and always when the system reboots, which it does every morning.

I don't quite want to say that I've never had religion.
