I've had this problem, the lack of title bars is either because Compiz failed to start or it is because you have them off in the compiz config. Judging by the rest of your problems, it is because Compiz failing to start. A good way to find the problem is run compiz from a term. Ah, that's a good hi...

Okay, I guess I should just stop overreacting or something... Somehow I went back to when I had a similar problem when I installed Compiz and started fussing around with plug-ins and configuration packages, and got so messed up with it that I decided to remove Compiz altogether. I decided, as one l...

assuming hd1,0 is your windows
edit /boot/grub/grub.conf with your prefered $EDITOR

Code: Select all

rootnoverify(hd1,0)
makeactive
chainloader +1

if that fails, add

Not true. You can go to Prefrences->Content->Blocked Content and block things by blahblah.com/ads/* or even block */ads/* doing this for every ad is rediculous, so you can edit the urlfilter.ini to exclude all ads here is a good example of editing your urlfilter.ini http://my.opera.com/Tamil/blog/i...

Re: Attention to Browser Elitists and other nerds

The problem I had with Opera's blocking function is it's weak. You have to click the things to be blocked, then open the settings and change the URLs you just added so that all the ads in that directory are blocked, not just the randomly-selected ones you got this time. (e.g. I want /ads/* blocked,...
