Re: 1190: "Time"

If the comic goes on long enough we might see tidal movements of the water surface, if they are indeed at an ocean (or very large lake)

I laughed at the "Stupid Free BSD" -Line! I love references to other XKCD Comics. But I haven't found a woodpecker yet....

Re: 1071: "Exoplanets"

"All 786 known planets" "This is our solar system" "We know nothing about what's on any of them." We've got a long way to go if we know practically nothing about the very planet that we live on. Technically speaking, we only feel like we know much about earth, but for ...

Re: 0880: "Headache"

Well I think the 3d effect really works on some comics while it completely ruins others. maybe if they get converted properly this could add a nice touch to XKCD. You can still use the mobile version if you want things to be the old way. I personally would like to see this system stay in place even ...

Thanks XKCD! Today in the morning I only turned my PC on to see the new Comic. While reading it I got an email from my prof stating todays lecture had been canceled. Under normal circumstances I wouldn't have read it and had gone for nothing. And what do I have to see, Fucking around after 8am. seem...

Re: Gaming in Linux

Linux games are coming! But they are mostly flash or java based and small little casual games. I'm talking on all the Smartphone/Mobile/Tablet games. Most of them practically run some form of linux oder an other unix derivative. Their producers seem to make enough money via micropayments. Most of th...

Randall actually saved the universe from ending in a segfault by opening this brace now.

http://www.xkcd.com/312/

But this may render everything wich happend from now on as a strange subroutine which probably defaults to false ;)

Re: 0806: "Tech Support"

Well to return to the topic, here 2 stories from me: 1) Quite a few years back I finally convinced my mum to switch from dial-up to DSL after talking onto her about the advantages of speed and being able to call someone while being on the net and so on. Unfortunately she insisted on keeping the ISP ...
