Re: What songs do you listen to when you run/workout?

3 doors down generally, 3 days grace if I'm feeling particularly ambitious.

My favorite song to run to is Saosin's Move Slow.

Re: How to become that dude

First of all: this made me laugh so hard you don't even know. I'm going to say Tiger blood and Adonis DNA before this meme runs out of steam. Second of all, I am sort of one of those people. When I try. When I have so much to do I can't even think is when I do my best work. I can't just do 2 things ...

Re: Abortion and Women's Rights

I have two different beliefs on abortion. I personally would get an abortion in circumstances involving sure death. That's it. However, I do believe that a woman has a right, and a need, to control her own body. Therefore, I propose a solution: only allow abortions through the first semester. That's...

It is. She's the Greek Goddess of war, but I feel that it's a more masculine name. IF by some twist of fate I end up having a set of Fraternal twins, one boy one girl, I'll name him Artemis and give her the middle name Apollo.

Re: How often do you wash your jeans?

I try to wash them once a week, but I don't wear them often, so they tend to get folded and put back, and I'm sure they have been upon the two week mark. If they get muddy or something, they get washed. I'm not paying for wash, though. When I do, it'll probably be closer to standing up on their own.

I feel grown up when buying groceries, or necessities that have been payed for all my life. When I use coupons, I feel incredibly grown up. I feel grown up when I call people to fix their mistakes. I make up for all that grown upness by wearing crazy colors and 5 inch heels and using green eyeshadow...

And peppermint scented candycane shaped pens. Yes, those are awesome.

And of course, ME!

I've got a cheap watch, with double straps. It has pink and green and blue skull and crossbones all over. I love it. I wear it on my right wrist (the hand I write with), which I guess is weird. I like the third watch! I want one! I can't wear metal watches. I wore one once, and I still have the scar...

The fifth element. I've watched it something like 20 times. Every time Independence Day is on I watch it. Or when I'm just in need of a WIll Smith fix. Or that guy from Jurassic Park. Everytime I am reminded of it, I will go back and reread Tamora Pierce. I will listen to OneRepublic's Secrets every...

Agree with the comments on dairy. I wouldn't use any of it if I had more access to greens. I was reading an article the other day about what expecting moms need to eat to get their recommended amounts, and it really ticked me off that all they listed was dairy. They listed plenty of lesser known veg...

I have to much fanfiction on my brain. I read way to much for way to many fandoms. There are a few series in most that I have fallen in love with and I treat like a published novel. I treasure connecting with the author and read them over and over. When an author understands a character, even one th...

It's been said, but strength training might help. Otherwise, avoid pushups and invest in a good bra. Get it fit by a professional.

When I feel like snacking, I eat almonds. One at a time. You're working towards a specific fitness goal, not losing weight, so the calories shouldn't be a problem. Plus, protein. Pack several kinds of snacks in your lunch. Carrot sticks, string cheese, dried fruit. A lot of times the issue isn't wha...

Re: Does anyone actually eat their recommended daily nutrion

I think it is nigh unto impossible to get the recommended daily amount without massively exceeding your daily calories. However, disregarding the 10 servings of whole grain, it's fairly easy to get at least 2/3 that. Try buying some dried beans, and eating that with your potato. Or swap your potato ...
