When someone eventually dies from this, is there going to be a prize?

How is that full circle? :)

Still, in my opinion the only way to go with this is to try Risk

I like the idea of better fuel economy and saving money, but what happens when a smart car has a collision with a Ford F250 truck? Replace "Smart Car" with basically any other vehicle and it's not going to end up looking good for it. Then again, the entire car is supposedly a impact cage,...

Anyone have any ways to get inspiration when you seem to be just completely out of ideas? I usually hit the News sites to see if anything interesting is happening (of course, that can occasionally result in something utterly tasteless like yesterday). IRC, IM programs or long car journeys are also ...

Greece Lightning

I have 10 posts... so now I can post links. Horrah. Greece is suffering from the worst forest fires in recent memory. (BBC) It's already almost burnt down Ancient Olympia in addition to many villages, killing 60 people. (BBC) There's been nothing a international military-style response, with fire-f...

What confuses me the most is that anthrax, if I recall correctly, is only dangerous if it becomes airbourne and you breathe it in (which is why it was put in envelopes that you open quite forcefully and throw the anthrax spores into the air). The lungs are the vector for the spores right? It's not l...

I play Defcon on and off now there's a Linux version, the problem I find is that sometimes a strategy can pay off handsomely, or it can result in the utter annihilation of everything you hold dear. A bit like randomly picking pieces of fruit you've never heard of in the supermarket... The addition o...

I host another webcomic (apart from my own)... I could host something else, I have all the website stuff as well... if you could deal with people throwing "Oh me yarm XKCD RIPOFF" at you (cos they will, cos people suck), but then you say "I AM BETTER THAN THAT HACK" and then you ...

Yaknow, for a filter, it doesn't do that bad a job. I was thinking it was a photo for a few seconds, because old photos don't really have all that lovely detail you usually expect from photography.

Stickman battles are the purest form of entertainment known to man.

Little do people realise but cave paintings were actually stickman battling with robot woolly mammoth.

I don't know art, but I know what I like, and I like things with radio waves and blinky lights. Especially if they're shiny. Any chance of seeing some of it? Maybe! ... Possibly. <edit> - Once I have more than 10 posts. Almost tripped up there. ...and, ok, ok, yes, I am that Lem. Guilty as charged....

Hmm...as measurements of relative success, Happiness, Satisfaction and Comfort I think are three elements that I consider when it comes to what I want out of life. Happiness isn't like a place I can get to and stay in I've found, it's a bit like a rest stop on a really long hike. I'll take it when i...

I totally posted here first without posting anywhere else. I didn't find it difficult to find this Intro thread at all! I'm Lem, 23 years of age, recently graduated with a BA in Fine Art specialising in making sculptures that interact with each other with radio waves and blinky lights. Now I draw th...

The day they did that Randy posted a link on the main page, talking about how he'd taken down one webcomic, and it sparked a discussion on a webcomics war here in the fora. I hope it didn't descend into crazy tomato throwing. Webcomic drama happens so quickly sometimes :( Also, no-one has mentioned...
