Re: Games you can't remember the title of.

It's set in Renaissance Italy. It is somewhat similar to the card game 'citadels' except it has a very small card-backed map of Italy divided into the major regions that features into the gameplay somehow. It might be condottiere. A simple, decent game, but I am not a big fan of it. Thank you, this...

Re: Games you can't remember the title of.

It's a board game, google-fu has failed me. Relevant details, but they will be as hazy as my memory: It's set in Renaissance Italy. Re: Black Mesa (Very Sourcy!)

Has the countdown ended? I've not noticed any aliens attacking and enslaving the world. Well it was the "Seven hour war", so give it a few more hours. Actually, I think canonically the invasion didn't start immediately after the Black Mesa incident. In Opposing Force the military nukes Bl...

Your original post is somewhat confused about the terms you're using and what they mean, and what morality and ethics are. The etymology of ethics leads us to "ethos", or way of life; ethics started out as the science of determining how to live one's life. Any broad-ranging ethical textboo...

Thesh, you're right - I'd forgotten about those! If you get LotSB, after mission end you get some quality of life stuff after you finish it. Applying Unity to this thread, since I'm currently playing ME2 for the first time. If I plan to play ME3 eventually, what DLC is worth it? All the DLC are kind of stupidly priced at this point, given that I got the full game for $5, but I'll probably pick up the Shadow Broker one and Arrival becaus...

I'm still confused how Bioware let a 1 out the door. You may or may not have heard this, but rumour has it that every bit of writing for the game was subject to a peer review process... except the ending. The ending was written behind closed doors between the two lead writers. It may or may not be ...

So, I have seen the EC. Some thoughts, radioactively spoilerific: The new "Refusal" ending is, as far as I am concerned, the only real ending. Shepard tells Starchild to go fuck himself, and the Cycle continues. Cut to the far future, Liara's VI is telling someone (off-screen) ...

Re: Mass Effect 3 (Seriously, Use Spoilers People!)

The development cycle would have been insanely long to do that justice; the consumer at large would never back it. The only way a game will ever live up to what ME3 promised is if some company gets very, very rich and decides to then release a title "for the love of the art".

I really hate the part on Grissom Academy where you are in the courtyard with the Atlas. Then they add Shepard-seeking rockets, and turrets all over the place so you can't move to that o...

Now that it's not bugged to hell, I do sorta like the Falcon, though the damage isn't very good, it seems to have a pretty good chance to stun most enemies. Really shines when enemies are grouped up and it can stun/damage several at once. Low ammo is quite a downside though since it'll take a few s...

I find myself unable to complete any gold game that isn't Firebase White Geth Gold. I hated vanguard after ME1. "Can't lock on" is not an acceptable reason to die, I don't want my ability to survive tied to the caprices of a slightly buggy targeting system. Also, on Hardcore or Insanity, the number of times you can safely charge into a group of enemies and not get squish...

WoW had it close to right for BC and most of Wrath. You earn currency for PvP (arena) victory, and spend it on items. The availablity of these items to buy is contingent on a rating system, and one's rating is correlated with the rate you earn the currency at. Meanwhile, sufficent gear to enter into...
