Ok, this one is just mean! I want to play in four dimensions too! But the game is not yet released... sadness exists.

Re: "Real Programmers" Discussion

Real engineers let a programmer do their programming. Or something. A real engineer would probably disagree with us. Hehe, yup this "real" engineer would have to disagree with that. "Real" engineers can't help but muck about in the code and play with the soldering irons, and gen...

Re: "Priorities" Discussion

Did this remind anybody else of the "Fixed Width" one (http://xkcd.com/276/)? Sometimes, it is better to resist even the geekiest temptation (though it pains me to say so). Also, I'm pretty sure my school (college) gave out 'E' as a failing grade (there was no 'F'), not 100% sure though, a...

That has been my experience as well. Full-sugar Coke is also rendered drinkable by the presence of Sambuca (it is a strange and wonderful combination, I highly recommend).

Not really. Ever take biology in high school? Metabolizing sugar is a process which consumes water. Soda and beer are dehydrating; dunno about coffee. If you all you drink is soda, the only place you're getting water is from solid food, and that's not even enough to replace what you lose metabolizi...

You know back in my brief orkut-ing days, I was in a group strictly for diet coke lovers (/fiends), and I recall learning that - those expiration dates? really DO matter. I personally have never come across this issue though. Did you check the dates on said skunky bottles?

I've never understood why we can't get a single language going worldwide, the world is so small these days. What bugs me is that my own language, english, is totally incapable of expressing things that other languages talk about with ease, and as such, I cannot fully comprehend the nature of that t...

Considering that we are on XKCD.com forums it's likely that any girl reading them holds a larger chance to fall in the latter category than a random selection of the population... So, any females on here fall in the range of [(25.992/2 + 7), (25.992-7)*2] who live in the Iowa or Minnesota and is lo...

Re: Dreams

I think I read somewhere, that while you may not be able to process it (tecnically), you don't usually notice when you read something. The 'trick' is that if you try to read something twice, it will very likely be different both times, same with clocks, books, ect. That is interesting. I dream abou...
