Given the obviously faked moon landings, I'm surprised NASA have been left off the list. The only possible reason could be that they are the ones really behind the global conspiracy, and somehow they are behind xkcd itself - though it's hard to see any connection between the two. Much more likely that your power supply bit the dust. Try hooking up a loaner psu (don't even bother mounting it properly) and see what happens.

I find myself working a lot with vered's brushes. I don't know why, but I like abstract-ey grunge stuff.

However, I use the same method you do with those brushes. Mess with it until it looks good. Set out with a goal in mind, usually a feeling, and end up where you do.
