Re: Bestest Movie/Anime/TV soundtracks

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. I mean, seriously, even the soundtrack is filled with awesome . The only reason I'm not playing it right now is because my flatmate is asleep and I can't hear that song without REALLY cranking up the volume. Thank you Zohar, this needed to be posted. Here's another favor...

Re: Why am I always tired!?

I second the "cut back on sugar" notion. I'm no expert, but I believe that excessive sugar intake causes a pretty severe energy crash after the initial sugar high wears off. I know it happens when I eat a ton of junk. Also, how much exercise do you get? Not getting enough can result in low...

12 dead, 31 wounded. Just like that. This is absolutely horrible.

Yes.

Agreed.

I just started rewatching it last night. I'm now reminded of why I call it my favorite anime.

Here in Seattle you've got to walk for a mile to find an intersection that doesn't have a Starbucks on the corner.

Re: Undesired traits (you wish to change about yourself)

I wish I could quit stuttering. I enjoy meeting and befriending new people, and I'd like to do it more than I do now, but it's so damn hard when every other word gets stuck in my mouth.

I see marmots occasionally when I'm hiking in the cascades. Goofy looking little critters.

I've never formally learned any probability, but I'm fairly certain that the chance would be 50/50. Are you familiar with the Gambler's Fallacy?

Re: Perfect Moments In Music

"When the Music's Over" - The Doors When Jim Morrison screams "Now!" and the band kicks in behind him, I always get chills. Every single time. I'd definitely agree with that. But I get all excited during just about any Doors song. Another moment that's always made the hair on th...

Re: Graphic Calculators

I haven't taken physics, but Precalc 1 and 2 as well as Calc 1-3 at my community college allow graphing calculators, provided they don't have certain functions. For example, a TI-84 (which cannot preform integration and differentiation for you) is allowed, but a TI-89 (which can) is not.

Re: Left 4 fun (and Zombie Panic Source)

Here comes the awesome part: I beat them. I noes, wtf rite? There they were, 4 survivors against 1 infected, and I beat them. Onna them died from my earlier boomer effort, and the remaining three had moderate health. Continuing on Blood Harvest, I managed to snag one of them as Smoker right before ...

Re: Height w/ minimum surface area and defined volume

Have you tried solving your volume equation for s in terms of h, and then plugging the result into your surface area equation? s = sqrt(h/2) Surface Area = h/2 + 4(sqrt[h/2])h. (Sorry, not familiar with this forum's math notation stuff) Graph it, find the minimum, and the h value at that point is yo...

I've read that. By far the best creepy story on the internet. I haven't read it in a year or two, but it scared me ****less.

Best when read alone, at night, with your back to a sliding glass door.

Re: Games You Keep Going Back To

I've played TF2 nearly every day that I had time since the first day of the beta. Never gets old. Most Valve games never get old... I play through the original half-life and HL2 'bout once every year. The competitive scene in Super Smash Brothers Melee kept me coming back to that one for years. Guit...
