Ceramics Class!

So I was sitting in ceramics class, caught up on all my projects with nothing to do. My friends in that class and myself decided to make our own little 'trinkets'. I made some xkcd trinkets! (spoiler'd (640x480)) Oh and it was in school so I had to take the pictures on my phone. Sorry 'bout the qual...

PreCalculus Logarithms (interest equation)

Ok, so we're doing the interest problems in my precalculus class. Formula = A=P(1+(R/N)) (NT) I can figure out how to solve for A, that one's easy :P I figured out P : A/((1+(R/N)) (NT) ) (oh, sidenote: Sorry about the extra parentheses, but I can't help it. I love them.) We went ove...

Re: Where Fun Goes to Die?

I'm a high school senior in Kansas, so regard the following as possibly true: I had a friend who isn't athletic, but doesn't really like school subjects (any of them) either. LIke he doesn't like math or anything. Anyways, he went to visit U of Chicago and liked it, but didn't know if he'd go there,...

Go http://www.geocaching.com/!

No, I dunno. A little more information would help me. How old are you? What, specifically, does he enjoy doing?

Re: Lunar Eclipse anyone?

Ahh it's 8:15 PM here, with few clouds, and a perfect view with a little space above the house across from me. I can sit on my front porch and watch it, which I've been going to do every 5 minutes then coming back in since it's 16 deg F + wind. Which I know isn't cold for some of you but it is for me!

Re: How to stop falling?

If she enjoys talking to you, it's one of two things: 1) It's a girl scheme to get you to ask her out. 2) It's a girl scheme to be evil and pretend interest, and then deny you later. I'm guessing that it's probably #1. I mean, you've said you've known her for about a week now, right? If you ask her ...

Re: Calculus

If you're looking for a cheap textbook to learn from (I like a book better than the internet):

\$1 books with \$3 shipping isn't bad for a textbook

Re: Combinations and Permutations

Permutations: P(n,r) = n!/(n-r)! /* n = number of elements, r = number of elements to be selected. It's ok if r = n because then the problem simplifies to n!/0! which is n!/1 which = n! */ Combinations: C(n,k) = n!/(k!(n-k!)) /* n = number of elements, k = number of elements to be selected */ At the...

Not really.

I know there's people out there who are probably better than me at programming, but I still think I'm good, but not superior to anything.

Plus, it gives me a challenge

I unintentionally tried an alternate sleeping pattern 2 summer's ago. I would sleep for like 4-6 hours a night and the maybe take a nap in the day sometime when I wasn't busy. However, over the last year or so, I've been getting increasingly tired. At first, I thought maybe I might have one more gro...
