Re: "Helping" Discussion

Can I just say thank you, everybody, for this thread?

Reading your responses just made me feel much less alone.

I don't think a happy comic could've have made me feel this way. The clever ones stick for a second, but the serious ones stay for much, much longer.

Re: "Helping.png" Discussion

Goddammit , Randall. This comic made me cry. Hard. I'm writing this as an inpatient in a psychiatric hospital. Taking responsibility for my own happiness is why I'm here in the first place. I don't think the girl is dead. I think she just needs help beyond what he could give. Of course, this is ent...

Re: "Loud Party" discussion

I was really enjoying this comic once I figured out where the thought bubbles were going. And then I saw the phallic symbol. Now I can't stop looking. On the girl's side, the branch splits open, while on the boy's side, a smaller branch is sticking straight up. Intended? Dunno. But now that's all I ...

In re-reading this, I cracked up at the illustration of Bobby Tables. For some reason, the combination of the odd painting and his other arm raised high in the air gave me the impression of "YAY PAINT!" Totally carefree.

Florida was north of New Jersey (where Maine actually is) God was really far away so if you wanted Him to hear you, you had to scream real loud. This misconception was only corrected two years ago: When I was little, I never had a toaster oven. The first time I saw one was in The Sims. I thought the...
