CS can be significantly more expensive than graph theory, especially with increasing interest in distributed systems and supercomputing. Algorithm research is certainly comparable though, I guess?

I think they're going to have to dump a lot more resilience on gear to negate the huge damage people are doing right now.

My warrior isn't even 80 yet. Last time I missed gladiator in s1 because I got 70 too late and had to compete in greens; must not let that happen again!

My university doesn't require any calculus beyond calc 2, but if you want to do anything involving graphics you need a good amount of matrix algebra and vector calculus under your belt. I'm at CMU for CS and my HS GPA was like, 3.4. My SAT score was 2300 though, which goes a long way for technical schools. It sounds like you have a great application as long as you pull it together properly, to make yourself look like a driven & enthusiastic wannabe computer scientist.

Taking a production profession before, like, 70 is generally a bad idea, and before 40 is a huge mistake. Think: if you've leveled all the way up to 70 leveling, say, blacksmithing, you've spent some sum X gold on leveling it. In which situation will you earn that X gold faster - at 70 or on the way...

Blizzard doesn't currently and has no plans to ever delete characters/accounts due to inactivity, but of course they reserve the right to do anything they want. Actually, we find that for 2v2 gear doesn't matter all that much. Class combination and player experience is far more important... we got to 2kish in greens and the points flowed in freely from there.
