As I understand it, it will work as long as all angles are in radians. As long as you use the same one for all lengths (and its squared form for the areas), it doesn't matter what units you use, inches, cm, microfurlongs, whatever you fancy. If you think of a triangle, with sides of length 3,4 and 5...
