Re: Wanted: "Layered/tiered" password manager

You store passwords in the cloud? Well there's your problem... Lastpass doesn't store passwords in the cloud, it stores an encrypted password directory in the cloud. The decryption of this directory happens locally. Given that the directory is AES256 encrypted, I think this is a reasonable trade of...

Re: 1623: "2016 Conversation Guide"

Self-flying planes do exist, in that passenger airliners are on autopilot for almost the complete route. On the other hand, self driving cars are going to take a very long time, because it turns out it is hard to make a self driving car that human driven cars can coexist with, so self driving cars w...

A few years ago, there used to be a link to the forums from the comic, where the "What If?" link is now. It was removed to make way for the "What If?", to avoid making the header too wide. However, the text to the left has now become so long that there is now empty whitespace bel...

There also seems to be a phenomenon of legitimate chrome extensions being purchased, and adware extensions pushed through the update mechanism. You may want to scan for such malicious extensions.

I think the scanner I use is called Extension Defender (currently on a smartphone, so can't check)

My guess is that they asked such in such a roundabout way because if they said "find n", a bunch of students would just say "tried n=10, (6/10) * (5/9) = 1/3, check" which is pretty much a valid solution that doesn't measure what they were trying to measure. That's pretty much w...

Yes, that part is clear. The EP has a veto right, but no selection right. They want to change that to a de facto selection right, by vetoing any candidate except their proposed candidate. I'm guessing the driver thinks you have one of nvidia's 3D Vision graphics cards which you use with a compatible display and glasses for stereoscopic 3D.
