University of Texas

I'm a freshman at University of Texas as an Electrical Engineering major. I was wondering if there were any other Engineers that want to form some sort of study group? I don't have anybody with which to study/mingle, so maybe we can get together. If we get enough people, are there any suggestions fo...

Re: Roommates for College

From my experience, find someone who isn't a Texan. Unless you are. In which case, I'm sorry. Well I guess there aren't a lot of Texans going to the University of Texas , now are there. I suppose I'm just gonna end up with a random roommate, and hope for the best. This should be a thing to remember.

Roommates for College

Well I graduated today. Whoopee. And now I have a few more college things to deal with, one of which is finding a roommate. I'm going to the University of Texas, and have been looking through their roommate profiler for people that might be interesting. I'm not really certain what to do. I don't kno...

Oh god. I didn't give two shits about my scholarship essays. They asked me about leadership experience, so I wrote about a goddamn clan I had on Xbox Live way back when.

I called it a "competitive gaming organization".

Electrical Engineering. I hope to minor in math, also, as math was my second-choice major. I want to design robot subsystems in the future.

What about work study? What exactly does that entail doing?

Also I'm gonna try to get a private bath, but it depends on how much it costs.

And I'l still looking for a roommate after a friend decided not to go after he lost some cash.

Also, can anybody get me a real, up-to-date quote on the figures for UT? I want to know before I enroll, so I don't screw over my fallback choice (free ride, but not for transfers).

Good news everyone! I have irritable bowel syndrome! Not really. I got accepted to UT and my financial aid reports are in. Re: The American Math Competition

I remember a question. This one had a big number in it. It was Define a function T(n) = 2^T(n-1) for n > 0. So it's basically a power tower of 2s that is n units high. Then define a number A such that A = T(2009)^T(2009). Then let B = A^T(2009). Find the maximum m such that log_2 log_2 log_2 log_2 ....

Yeah I hate stupid commercials also. But it's fun being educated and realizing that most of the population is really stupid.

Well, I applied for Electrical Engineering. So I just clicked that, thinking back to the video lectures on MIT...
