### Re: What-If 0065: "Twitter Timeline Height"

That theory shows nicely (some) math has stopped being reasonable and has started saying: I believe in god!

### Re: What-if 0035: "Hair Dryer"

Now my hairdryer has also about 1875W (1800W to be exact).
I measured I need about 23 seconds to dry my hair with it.
I wonder if there is a time measuring unit small enough to tell how much time that 11 petawatt dryer would need.

### Re: What-If 28: Steak Drop

Isn't the answer just 25km ? I mean the question does not state how it is cooked  As stated in the article (I did not know this) it takes 5 to 6 minutes to get down from 25km. A steak is perfectly fine after 6 minutes, as a cook I knew this already. So just heat up an oven to 180°C and drop...

### Re: What-if 0005: Robot Apocalypse

I always find it amusing how people start to think of ways how our technology will kill us. First of all I think we will kill us faster and more efficiently ourselves than any machine can ever do. Second why don't we try to think about things technology will not do that will kill us. Because if &quo...

### Re: 1040: "Lakes and Oceans"

Randall you seem to be very interested in deep sea creatures especially squid. If so I can only recommend this book: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51FRj%2BVqbQL._SL500_AA300_.jpg Vilém Flusser's - Vampyroteuthis infernalis It is about the Vampire squid which lives at 3000ft or maybe even dee...

### Re: 0999: "Cougars"

That reminds me of an incident that happened to "me" some years ago. Every day I took the light-rail between two towns. In between was some more "open" land. They are separated by a less than 30 minutes drive. When you enter one of the towns first there are the bigger houses with...

### Re: 0986: "Drinking Fountains"

You really should not try this at home kids! First: Indeed you die of water intoxication before you could reach the appropriate level. This was tragically proven in Kalifornia, last year or so I guess, when a radio station held a contest. The person who could drink most in the less time won a game c...
