The biggest difference between air/ground units in sc2 is upgrades. Making both kinds of units is easy enough, but if you don't have upgrades they are less effective than they should be, and you can't normally afford to get every different upgrade path.

homework: if you play at peak/off hours compare the number of points you gain/lose on overage. if it's higher during off hours, it's just mmr giving you a wider spread of people to play vs. to reduce wait times.

Dunno. In my experience, off hours players are overall worse. Can't really say why. Maybe because people are more likely to be tired or drunk, and you're more likely to play against people who are cross region? Cross region should be irrelevant... just cause I'm playing from Aus with high ping does...

Been playing some SC2 again. Back to terran again. A 30 week absence dropped got me placed in bronze again. My mechanics are so awkward. Down to like 30-50 APM. How has the metagame shifted in TvP as of late? Protoss is the only race that's giving me trouble right now, especially in the early game....

Yes. ForGG was using that mechanic to kill creep tumours by shooting his own hellion with another hellion and splashing it.

Doing all that maths is fine... but it assumes that you get to do everything in a straight up fight with pure blinkstalkers. Either you make a few zealots to help tank chargelots (charge upgrade is less useful in this battle) while you pick off voids or you abuse terrain by blinking up and down clif...

The correct response is obviously to go blink stalkers. I guess you either add phoenix (to kiill voids, harass and lift up half their zealots) or archons. And aren't blink stalkers still a very common PvP build?
