The only thing that I can think of is that you're still in time accelerate mode. Make sure you're at 1x and try again.

Re: ArmA2/DayZ—sandbox zombie apocalypse survival

Starting unarmed is actually great, in my opinion, but I can see it scaring off new players. Rocket now seems to be just obsessed with geeking out and twerking the zombie aggro formulas over and over again. That's not what the game needs right now, zombie aggro is "good enough." Implement ...

Re: ArmA2/DayZ—sandbox zombie apocalypse survival

It is totally worth buying ArmA2 to play this. I did. Yep, if you die, you start over back at the beach (where all new characters spawn) with the standard starting equipment: a weak pistol, a little food and water, and some basic medical supplies. There are barbed wire kits and sandbags that you can...

ArmA2/DayZ—sandbox zombie apocalypse survival

I'm surprised we don't have a thread on this yet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A7Q8c8jnL3s DayZ is a free-for-all open-world "realistic" zombie apocalypse survival mod built on the ArmA2 engine, a "military simulator" FPS, and set in the 225 km 2 fictional soviet state of Chern...

Re: MMO's and PvP

Playing sandbox PvP (eg. EVE, DayZ) is like fight club. After you've done it, everything else gets the volume turned down. There's no excitement when you have nothing invested, when there's no risk. PvPing in EVE is like being a captain of an interstellar warship (better yet, commander of a pirate f...

Re: EVE Online

It was our scout. I agree, tengus make the worst cloaky T3, but they do tackle better than a buzzard, which is what it did here. By pointing their shiniest ship as the rest of us warped in, then in the very common event in which they all flee, we at least get a kill. So, yeah, this fight wasn't even...

His fit is fine. It's cloaky, which puts limitations on the fit. Please share the fit and tactics you would use (with a covops cloak, a probe launcher, and an emergent locus analyzer) to solo that 7-man fleet.

Re: EVE Online

Which is why it almost died? Cloaky tengus do about 200 dps. I'd gladly fly a cyclone or sleipnir in a 1v1 against a cloaky tengu.

It wasn't a dead-on even fight, and I didn't say that. It was more even than 90% of fights we tend to get and therefore was actually fun.

A bubble affects a warp if the bubble is up when the ship drops into warp, i.e., when it finishes aligning and becomes invulnerable.

I always thought of batphoning as calling in support from people you don't normally fly with when you're in over your head. Gordon calling in more cops isn't batphoning, only when he calls batman. So in this case, I wouldn't actually use the word. Nice carrier kills, though :)

We do sometimes, but we don't require them of new members. C4 plexing is a bit of an odd beast, because of its intermediate difficulty (and also stupid engagement ranges), which is why not that many people do it. Try lowering the minimum to 2 or 3. If they're organizing and organizing and never actually training, it may be that they're waiting to get 7 at once and that isn't happening.

I personally hate cross pos on metalopolis because it has a large impassable center creating 2 equal-length attack paths. A lot of accidental base trades happen because opposing armies pass eachother in the night.
