Re: True Blood

The ending to this episode was fantastic. Russell is such a delightfully LARGE HAM ! I laughed so hard. It's been getting a lot better this season, with the exception of last week's episode, which was terribly boring. It gets annoying when Bill and Sookie's story line is the least interesting, whic...

Re: Things to Buy for College

My college's orientation book thing said that the most overlooked item are clothes hangers. I'm also thinking about getting a brita filter so I can save on water bottles but still have better than tap, although the water might not be bad there. Also, I'm living on campus in a brand new dorm room. I'...

Re: Post your 2010 AP/IB Scores!

My college posted them, which was nice. I got a 3 on English 12 and Government and a 4 on European history. I was pretty dissapointed, I thought I did better than last year on English, but got a lower score, and I thought I did really well on Government, I even got a 5 on last year's mock exam. I gu...

Right now I'm reading Team of Rivals by Doris K Goodiwn, and it's amazing. It's subtitled "The political genius of Abraham Lincoln" and that couldn't be more right. I never really appreciated Lincoln and considered 19th Century to be the most boring in American history, but it's really ope...

Re: Recommend one artist

The band The Wild just put out a new album that I've been loving for the last couple of weeks. I'd describe their music as folk/punk, it's all pretty happy, optimistic stuff. They kind of remind me of an early Against Me! but less angry. The best part though is they operate under Quote Unquote recor...

I also don't understand why bounty hunter or smuggler would affiliation-specific classes. On a personal note, I try not to split my infinitives, although doing so sometimes seems more natural; I quite enjoy starting sentences with conjunctions; and I make a conscious effort to avoid ending in prepositions, as it sounds more intelligent not to (OH CRAP). That made me laugh really hard. I...

Not me personally, but my mom and cousin had the exact same experience several decades apart. There's this chair that belonged to a deceased relative, a priest, and they both claim to have seen him. My mom saw him when she was young, she knew he was, and asked him what he was doing and replied "...

Yeah it has a lot to do with embouchure and air. Embouchure just develops over time, and you just have learn the amount of air you need for particular notes. But yes if a reed is too dry, it will squeak a lot more, as well as one that doesn't sit right on the mouthpiece.
