Re: Superhero Rumble - for old times sake

Voltorb exploded in a shower of sparks, and almost everyone around him felt the blast. Rick Astley and the seven flying raccoons were incinerated, along with Rock Lee. The dying raccoons fell heavily into the invisibility sphere, which quickly dissipated as it's owner was brained by a hang glider s...

You are in a farm. You can see several fields, containing cows, sheep and goats. There is also a farmhouse. There is a path leading backwards to the Studio Hallway

Where do you go?

Re: Help with understanding a proof please

Ah, that makes sense - because the first k are in the kernel, σ(ai) is 0 by definition. Plus, the constants don't make any difference to whether or not it's in the span. Thankyou, jestingrabbit.

Help with understanding a proof please

While revising for my Algebra exam, I came across this proof of the Dimension Theorem, and there's one stage in it I don't understand. Here's the setup: Let σ be a linear transformation from V to W, which are vector spaces over a field F. Then rank(σ) + nullity(σ) = dim(V) Let A = {v 1 , ... , v k }...

Re: Superhero Rumble - for old times sake

The battle raged on, with Andrew standing mostly unnoticed at the side. He did manage to snatch a raccoon from the air and break it's neck, though. Rick Astley spiraled out of control toward the ground as a surprise attack hit him in the back, almost killing him. Voltorb loosed another barrage of e...

Re: Superhero Rumble - for old times sake

The battle commenced, with the unlikely combatants eyeing each other up. Most were cautious, keeping up a strong guard and not venturing out. The invisible man disappeared, but that didn't stop Voltorb zapping him. A sneaky blade slid out from nowhere, slicing through Rock Lee's back and destroying...

Re: Superhero Rumble - for old times sake

well if multiple people attack the same person that you're using it on, this could potentially allow more damage through if you put energy into X. No. Your maths is wrong. People don't have to individually overcome someone's defence - their attacks are summed, the defence is subtracted, and the rem...

Re: Superhero Rumble - for old times sake

It doesn't cost any more, Bulvox. The only limitation is that it can only be used once per turn. I did point out that it was 1:1 direct damage in my powers post. I'm surprised it went for as little as it did. I also don't see a point in allocating energy to X, when you can just put it in Y and ensur...

Re: Superhero Rumble - for old times sake

That just means that whoever takes it either pays a lot for the power, or gets mobbed and dies on the first turn. These things happen. Plus, using it makes you a target, as everyone knows that you'll be attacking a certain person.

John John woke up with a thud, landing a floor down from where his bed was. ((he fell through the floor)). His head was still sore, but he had his shotgun. Aching, he got up, and picked up the shotgun, before realizing that the trigger was melted. "Dang nabbit!" he shouted. He then rememb...
