Yes, Rowdy Roddy Piper will be missed. He was quite a character and a much underrated actor. I was surprised to see the homage. Randall is much too young to remember They Live , at least when it came out in theatres. Perhaps he's a fan of Roddy's career in general? The same with Hell Comes to Frogt...

As a kid growing up in the 80s and 90s, I remember watching with aversion the cheesy commercials that were trying to sell cassette tape collections of the popular 60's and 70's music. "Ughh," I would think. "Who cares about that era? It's long gone and the music sounds so old ."...

Ostrich stroganoff in the slow cooker. Yum. I'd like to try it in other recipes, since it's just too lean to be a tasty steak. I humbly disagree. Flash-fried ostrich fillet medallions are divine. Not a big cumin fan, but what barleywine? Victory Old Horizontal. Smells great, tastes like a butthole stuffed with hops and left to sweat in the desert sun for a week. Worked great for the recipe though, you need presence when you're cooking with beer for the flavor (as opposed to, e.g., "bee...
