Re: Stupidity in Games

I'm surprised the fallouts haven't come up yet. In one, you could give the NPC's a plasma rifle and power armor, and they would ignore it in favor of leather jackets and knives. They would also shoot you in the back. With an Uzi. In 2 they improve the armor situation, thoug sometimes they would refu...

The system is set up to reward in the sense of not rushing into shit. Rau is a badass, but a large group of enemies can do a lot of damage, epecially on the later levels.

Learning the combos goes a long way, espcially with the spear and axe.

The Mark of Kri and Rise of the Kasai are two of my favorite games. I love the system, even though RotK was outdated when it finally came out.

I LOVE the cutscenes.

Also, Psychonauts is one of my all time faves.

Re: Do some of you buy RPG Source books just to read them?

I used to buy every sourcebook I could get my hands on, with the intent to use it in RPG's. It turns out life is complicated and adults have responsabilities, and tend to move, though, so they mostly sit in a shelf, looking pretty. I read them once in a while and dream. I stopped buying book circa t...

I loved the ending(s) for Mass Effect except for

The very last choice. It was litereally "Make your friend the councilor V. Make the guy who did nothing but trouble you councilor". Real tough choices there.

I had an old school Ipod that lasted me a few years, though I was extremely careful with it. It died on a business trip when I dropped it on the carpeted floor of the hotel. It wasn't really a hard fall... it just sort of fell and went "thud" and it never really turned on after that. I now...

Re: Fallout 3!

My problem is thus: Bethesda have made games which are increasingly meant to cater for the market. Look at Morrowind -> Oblivion. Morrowind was user unfriendly, and was better (in my opinion) because of it. Oblivion was popular, but that doesn't mean it was abso-friggin-fan-dabby-dozy. I worry that...

Dogs are pets, and people tend to make them "part of the family" but in the end they are not humans. People are affected by the death of a child more than that of an animal. It is only natural.
