I once read a (Contemporary Fantasy) novel which claimed that Eve is the mother of Cain's children.

I would have preferred it if you used the original book LoTR plot as source. But it's well done nonetheless.

Heh, Primer. Never seen, but already heard some scary stories about it. 12 Angry Men only got a ? from me, though. I'll have to look on IMDB.

And if no patch comes out, you have a USB port in your arm. Seriously, how cool is that, even without functionality.

Re: "Tab Explosion" Discussion

So true. I discovered tvtropes some months ago and now am going there several times a week. Luckily, I got my addiction somewhat under control, and after 1.5h or so, I finally run out of open tabs. But really, tvtropes links should always be posted with a warning. I don't know cracked.com. Yet. And ...

Re: "A Bunch of Rocks" Discussion

This comic is great. I am in awe by this picture of an old-yet-always-fascinating concept. The last gag made me laugh, but in my opinion, it isn't necessary. The comic would have worked for me without the last two panels, simply leaving the implications for the meaning of time for this guy/God. But ...

"Why are you wearing a helmet" - "I'm not sure" :D I liked how I only saw the first of the four blimp panels and interpreted it as the final one, building up tension for the next comics. Then I scrolled down further and got the rest. :D again. This week bodes for awesome incidents.

I've read it bottom to top, too. But it wouldn't make sense to add Reaver territory. This is from the point of view of Earth, so the Alliance starsystem would be a mark somewhere between 1 parsec and the galactic Edge, but too small to distinguish Core worlds and outer planets. <nitpick>And if this ...

"xkcd, get out of my head!" in another meaning.
Wednesday morning, I read the comic. Shortly afterwards, I met the girl I court, and after that, I thought about how it would be if we were together. And this damn comic always crossed my thoughts.
She didn't haul out the torch, though.

I was forced to go to the final prom, because our report cards were handed out there. In retrospect, I don't regret it. I found the dancing quite overrated (probably because I wasn't too good at it), but the food was good, there was a breakdancers performance and it was the last time we all came tog...

Re: "Ouch" moments in school

In the second math test in my 8th year, I got a 5 (grades 1-6, 1 being the best). When it was returned, I only saw the number and tried to hand over the paper to my neighbour because I thought it was his. Up to this test (and happily also after), I always had grades 1 or 2 in math, rarely a good 3. ...

A lot of people made comments about how this is likely stick-figure-porn, and I confess that was also my very first impression. I prefer calling these phenomena as "phenomena that canonical science can not YET explain". OK, there is no generally accepted proof for the existence of energies (or beings) called whatever. But there is also no proof for its non-existence. I know that it's considered science only to clai...

Hilarious! Greatly hilarious!
imo even without the alt-text. It made me smile(probably because I'm not really into the 'Your Mom' thing), but the combination of two jokes (btw both in former xkcd) made me laugh out loud.
