Re: Games you can't remember the title of.

I also highly recommend playing the revised rules for the Great People expansion; it makes the game play out much better than the Echoes rules of "just shuffle some in" did. Oh yeah, I think those rules were retconned into newer versions of Echoes too. (For reference: In the original Echo...

Thank you! It's been bugging me for a while, and I just couldn't find the right search terms.

One of my favourite games, I highly recommend it as long as you're prepared for a game that is more about navigating chaos than building a stable engine for incremental progress.

A Census is more than just a dataset, it can be a political tool. How many different roles are there? Six, although one of them (the Cave) you can't play solo. The idea is that each role plays very differently - different win conditions and different play rules. Which is cool, and it's the reason I wanted it, but it's also a hindrance to learning the game because...

Why wouldn't it happen pretty much exactly as it did in the first X-Men movie? Mutants start popping up all over the place and we learn there was a secret school helping them out. Not too far fetched - they just need to reboot the franchise. Hugh Jackman already basically said he's done, I think, s...

If you ever make friends with someone who works in an emergency department, ask them how many men show up after allegedly performing home renovations in the shower, with no clothes on, and slipping and somehow getting one of their tools lodged somewhere that seems physically unlikely.

This was a great game! I'm glad I subbed in, although I don't feel I contributed a heck of a lot to the town win other than doing my darndest to stop people suspecting me of being scum (and not necessarily doing it that well). The flavour was wonderfully written, and the setup was quite clever.
