Re: Recommend ME a game (Merged:Several Similar Threads)

My 360 is off for repairs, and i feel like some PC gaming. I'm looking for an epic single player story-fueled game (as in, a good, interesting and original story), preferably first/third person, and not too fiddly (ie, no RPG equipment-faffing etc), and not too run-and-gunny either. I haven't playe...

I'm a little unclear as to whether or not you mean you have those games and want something similar, or if you mean that you're thinking about buying one of those games. (Sorry, I confuse easily). If the latter, then Psychonauts is free on Gametap. Yeah, sorry -- those were just examples of games th...

EASY.

Apart from that, I'd say One Piece>Naruto, therefore Pirates>Ninjas. And Monkey Island>Every Ninja Videogame. Most stuff about pirates is way better than stuff about ninjas. Why? Cause pirates won, and are more awesome.

Strangely enough, while I like practically everything Josh Homme does, I tend to think of his Kyuss and Desert Sessions stuff as being somewhat better than QOTSA. I gotta say I was wrong about the Else being the The Spine. Man, it's really lyrically intricate. The Spine is far more simple. I wouldnt call The Else particularly "lyrically intricate"; certainly not to the extent of the pink album and Lincoln anyway. Its a hell of a lot better than The...

I've worked with blind people, and it is often pretty difficult to explain otherwise trivial concepts to people who have been blind since birth. For instance, it took me quite some time to explain how a spreadsheet is layed out and to make sense of the information to one of my blind colleagues. I do...

I haven't listened to the album much - only briefly on last.fm - but the first track has definitely grown on me. The rest of the album seems to be a bit more downbeat than the single, but I remember it being quite good, though not as incredible and poignant as ( ) or Agaetis.

Songs for the Deaf is one of my favourite albums, but they just haven't been the same since Nick left. Lullabies sucked... Era Vulgaris is good imo, but lacking SftD's OOMPH. I've seen the first couple of episodes, and I fell in love with the way it's presented and narrated; it's like a storybook, or indeed, Amelie. I can't really see the plot of the series going too far without repeating itself very quickly however, but I suppose we'll see what they make of it.

I would LOVE to see The Prisoner remade. Too obvious to mention: it has to be done well. Nothing is worth remaking badly. Why should The Prisoner be remade? The first i've heard of this too. To be honest, its probably a bad thing. The Prisoner is a relic of the 60's. It was pretty damn awesome for its completely bizarre yet straight-faced plots, something which almost definitely will not come across in the new version.
