The new 'trailer' isn't really a trailer, it's just a bunch of new clips that they whipped up for Spike TV. The actual new trailer is supposed to premiere with Quantum of Solace.

Current rumors from test screenings are that the ending is competely different. Yeah, I've been reading about this. It has me a little concerned. It's rumored that they changed the ending in the film and replaced the squid with some kind of technology that mimics Dr. Manhattan's powers and blow...

and yes, you don't understand. you desperately want to think everyone can learn not just the basic skills of form and all that other nonsensical crap. you want them to be able to create works of endearing and enduring art. that last part is impossible if you don't have the creativity and skill. tho...

I guess maybe we're just disagreeing on what it is we're arguing about? Different people learn differently, sure, but art as a physical skill, the craft of it, the science of it , can be learned by anyone. If someone can draw a stick figure, I don't understand why your average person wouldn't be abl...

Re: I wish I could really draw :(

I think not everyone can become the next picasso because not everyone happens to form an interest in art during their lives. I think if the interest and the ambition are there, as well knowing art well enough to be able to recognize one's own failures objectively, then technique and skill can always...

I kinda understand what you're saying. What I mean to imply is that even if some aspects of art like how creative you happen to be (if we assume that's something that can be objectively measured), art as a craft and the principles thereof (things like the ablility to draw realistically, or understan...

Do you actually believe that in general your average person is physically incapable of learning artistic principles or is that just some kind of overly-hyperbolic way of saying that you personally have no ambition to learn something?

Re: I wish I could really draw :(

The fundamentals of art are much deeper and more complex than 'being able to draw a straight line'. I personally can't draw a straight line for shit, but why would I need to? Drawing doesn't have a time limit. You don't need to be able to draw everything in quick strokes (that's something that comes...

i'm strongly of the opinion that drawing is a skill that you're born with. it cannot be learned or gained. you can improve on what nature has given you through practice but there isn't much anyone can do for anyone if the innate ability isn't there. This is bullshit. People only believe this becaus...

Re: I wish I could really draw :(

Practice is only useless if you lack the ambition. Anyone can learn to draw realistically. It has nothing to do with creativity. It's a craft, and getting better is just a matter of practicing, learning from your mistakes, and setting your expectations a little higher each time.

I have no idea if these comics are any good because they're all so wordy. You should assume your readers are going to read it on the fly and not necessarily have to settle down into the easy chair in their study with their pipe and robe and old-fashioned bifocals.
