Re: 0883: "Pain Rating"

I'll start right off by saying that I'm a complete wimp, and I've never experienced any serious pain in my lifetime (so far). Reading this comic, and then the forum posts got me to thinking on the subject of pain, the perception of pain, and one's resistance to pain. In thinking on this, I recalled ...

Re: Take a survey for my class project!

There are an awful lot of 7's in the 1-10 section. Also, would it be worth pointing out that any number (integer or not) can be entered? I had no idea it'd take non-integer values, so I put plain old boring numbers in. That was a mistake on my part, not to specify integer. Unfortunately, by the tim...

Re: Take a survey for my class project!

I did it, but I'm not afraid to say I'm completely lost as to what this data is going to be used for. Extreme Bingo? It's for a very open-ended probability and statistics project. The assignment is simply to state a thesis and use statistics to either confirm or reject the hypothesis. My thesis was...

noooooo! I wasn't the first person to use Pi! or even the most precise person! edit: also, who put in 8000? 8000 > 1000. Stuff That won't mess up your data? You can't trace how many times someone filled in the survey, as far as I can see (which is a bad thing). It's probably better to not do the survey twice, though. Still, it's the internet, there'll always be people doing the surveys more than a few times, and as s...

I really hated the Ori. They really should have ended the show before it had a chance to jump the shark. Ending it with the defeat of the goa'uld, a big party, and then the ending they used, of the team going off on another mission would have been awesome.
