Re: The Darker Side of the News

Even in this he just can't keep his fucking mouth shut. I lost all hope for the world when Trump's actual words to North Korea (in 2016 when they were in a full-on shout war) were more idiotic than the text South Park made up. Everything he has done afterwards is just confirmation of that.

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-47648086 Dutch right wing populists make enormous gains the elections that determine our Senate. Re: British EU referendum in June [update: Leave wins 52% - 48%, politics ensue]

I'm pretty sure that the EU and Britain can quickly arrange May's deal after No-Deal Brexit happens. Arranging the desired relationship with the new relationship as starting point should not be more difficult than with the old relationship as starting point, because the whole desired relationship ha...

Re: The Darker Side of the News

On the plus side, this would make people more sympathetic to muslims rather than less, ultimately being counterproductive to the shooters' goal of eliminating Islam from the western world. So, yay for that I suppose. 1. That's a very bizarre and twisted way of looking at this. 2. I'm not sure where...

Tusk has tweeted this, he's pushing for a long extension: https://twitter.com/eucopresident/status/1106115929539334144) Wow, I seriously didn't expect that. That's pretty generous of their negotiating team (even though it may not come to pass). This can actually be a tactic from Tusk. It's well kno...

Parliament will vote for an extension (Tusk has tweeted this, he's pushing for a long extension: https://twitter.com/eucopresident/status/1106115929539334144) 3. God damn it. I had an entire roadmap typed in, and now the forum logged me out and 20-30 minutes of work is gone :x So what will then happen end of march? Short version. No deal will happen no matter what. The only feasible way out is that parliament votes for May's deal eventually. Round 3 is alrea...

You can see the effect of gerrymandering. The GOP has done a lot in the last district changing, far more than the democrats, which is the main reason for the difficulties. Well, pretty sure Collins is out. Not sure how competitive his district was before. Chris Collins arrested for insider trading. He won his seat in 2016 with a 34.6% margin. 270towin gives the margins for both the house seat and the presidency's vote in that district now. So it was a very safe seat.
