Re: Today I Made:

Bun milk. 1 egg Some milk tablespoon sugar teaspoon of salt flour Make into dough Boil about 5dl of milk (not heavy boiling, just get it properly warm). Make tiny buns from the dough and put it in the warm milk. Let it heat at the edge of boiling for about 9 minutes. Serve with sugar. Cheap and tasty.

Watched it yesterday. Have not read the books. Was good.
Idris Elba is great and I didn't even recognize Matthew McConaughey as the bad guy until someone pointed it out later (which is a good thing cause I usually can't stand him).

My hearing is bad. I hear that things are being said, but I struggle to make out the details without the added information I get from watching people's mouths (unless people have very clear enunciation or I can turn the volume up to ridiculous levels). When things are dubbed I hear that there are no...

Avocados: the most pointless "food" on Planet Earth. Empty, tasteless filler glop that looks like it should be served to inmates at a maximum-security prison in Alpha Centauri. That's just wrong . Also properly prepared onions are vital to all stews and soups. Garlic doesn't taste much an...

I feel this was a show with a lot of promise and then someone decided that one or two things they did was a lot cooler than the other stuff they did so they sort of got hung up on doing those things over and over and the rest sort of fizzed out.

Squandered potential stuff.

Adding spice to food after it's cooked, does not work. It doesn't taste right. Spice needs to be cooked into the food, not put on like a lid afterwards. I'd rather eat non-spicy food than add spice afterwards. It's like baking brownies, but instead of putting sugar in the batter you sprinkle it on t...

Just watched the first episode of this. It seems really solid as a sci-fi show, and plotwise the first episode is a hard-hitter, very satisfying.
