Re: 0831: "Weather Radar"

My wife works at NOAA, so I sent her the link to this comic with the subject, "Share with your weather buddies". Here is what she got back: Cute, of course. There actually is some science behind this one. Beam filling is the proper term. I was taught to call it "The Tonganoxie Effect...

Re: 0831: "Weather Radar"

Oh, Randall.... Your comic further proves my theory that you're a closet weather nerd! Coming from a meteorology major, we see this *all the time* on radar. Yes, I'm going to nerd out and say that we can't actually fake the data that is put out, but there are some cities (specifically, the ones that...

For some real fun, check out the Facebook group, "When I was Your Age, Pluto was a Planet!"

I'm a proud member...

Ruined my day when they decided poor little Pluto wasn't good enough to be a planet.

WHAT DID PLUTO EVER DO TO YOU??????

I have to ask:

Was I the only one to sing the whole thing out loud, right now???

I would feel much better about myself....

Even if that were the case, I don't care!!!!

Boom de yada, boom de yada!

(Dang, it's stuck in my head...) ><

So, I guess I should be pretty much content with my little Ford Focus...

A Prius it ain't, but it gets the job done......

To top that, Texas may not have the cheapest gas in the country, but at around $3.85-$3.90 a gallon, we're below the national average...

My method for navigation:

Google/Yahoo Maps + My Printer

Either that, or a good old fashioned map. Of course, I rarely go anywhere I don't know my way around, and if I do, I'm trying to get lost...

I just thought I was a geek until I read this.... It took me reading most of the first page of posts and clicking on almost all of the side links to get it....
