Re: For those of you in London, UK

I'm in for wednesday on fleet street is it goes ahead. my earlier pub trivia plan has sort of fallen apart, as it's a movie quiz and they're already expecting more teams then they actually have space for.

Re: Fleeting/Random Thoughts

The 1987 Stallone action/drama, Over the Top , is the greatest film of all time. Simply put, the plot goes like this: Sly, playing 'Lincoln Hawk' here, rises to the top of the professional arm wrestling circuit in order to win custody of his son from Father in Law Robert Loggia. That's right. it's a...

Not particularly obscure, but I love everything Jim Thirlwell has ever done- foetus, wiseblood, steroid maximus, manorexia, everything . The man's a musical genius, and I fear that he won't reach a wider audience until he's gone. How can someone so influential to so many types of music be talked abo...

Across the street from the Worlds Largest Thermometerâ„¢, you'll find the Mad Greek Diner. I found it to be neither mad, nor greek, in spite of it's best efforts. Tasty milkshakes, though.

Carrier pigeon.

This works better if you have rooftop access, as you usually need a second bird to send a reply to any great distance. setting up the cage is quite easy, and there's not much difficulty feeding them. The little bastards will eat anything!

Re: Fleeting/Random Thoughts

To get to Las Vegas from southern California, you need to pass through a lot of little desert towns. Most of them just rip you off on gas and food, then send you on your way. But for some of these towns, that's not enough- some of these towns want to destroy your soul. Baker, California, is one such...
