Re: Greatest solo?

So much great soli... Let's see. Technically huge, but also thrilling or crazy : Angra's "Angels And Demons", Dream Theater's "Home" and "Fatal Tragedy", Vai's "Fire Garden Suite" (also for piano), Deep Purple's "Lazy" and "Fireball"... Lot...

Re: Books that made you cry

The end of God Emperor of Dune. When Leto II gets horribly killed, sees Hwi Noree die, and then watch his faithful servant Nayla get shot in the face with a lasgun. The worst part for me was that he knew all of it was going to happen, but he knew he had to do it. The first time I read it, it did no...

Re: Books you just bought

"At The Mountain Of Madness" by Lovecraft.

I'm currently re-discovering his works. Kind of exciting... Even through the whole "cyclopean/no no no i won't tell you what this non-euclidian hellish abonimation looks like" stuff.

Re: Shining Force 2 - any fans out there?

Huge Fan ! Huge story (although quite stereotyped), great game system, great graphics.

I've hoped for years that Shining Force III would become available in Europe (and translated of course...). Only the first of 3 episodes was... And it was really great. But I WANT THE WHOLE STORY, man !

Re: Do some of you buy RPG Source books just to read them?

I got lots of pdfs (mostly through rpgnow.com), and given the lack of time to try every game, I usually only get to read the sourcebooks.
It's sometimes wonderful to discover such imaginative material, but also terribly frustrating not to be able to roll the dices and slay some NPCs. Damn.

Re: In Nomine

Great game here ! The system (3d6 for every roll) is both simple and clever, and the setting both entertaining and interesting. I only played the demon side though, and the campaigns I started with friend unfortunately never finished... But I remember lots of plotting schemes of everyone against eve...

Re: What do you listen to when you study?

Mmmh, post-rock fans here :) My playlist is generally set on "random" while I'm studying. So it might be Sigur Ros, Dream Theater, Led Zeppelin, Angra, Explosions in the sky, Spock's Beard, Queen, Steve Vai, Radiohead... But for long nights of coding or working for exams, I prefer loud, ha...

Re: Philip K. Dick fans?

Hi there ! (First reply on this board, at last :) ) Another huge fan of Dick's works. I began some 10 years ago with short stories like "The Golden Man", "A world of talent", etc. Then "Ubik" thrilled me, and so did "A Scanner Darkly", "Valis" (great...
