Along with that corollary, it'll hopefully fire up businesses, states, cities etc to continue and ramp-up what action they can. Re: Mass Effect : Meet and Fuck

I don't know - I always feel like reading bad reviews and unfavorable critiques from friends and contemporaries means I should find reasons not to like something, but despite its flaws (and it has a number, even at the point I'm at not too far after Eos), I actually find ME:A interesting. I really don't enjoy competitive anymore. I played through the placement matches this season and haven't touched it since. The matchmaking is horrendous, why would the game think it's a good idea to throw me in a game with a bunch of sub-2000 players then expect me to carry the game because we avera...

Sombra is fun, honestly. She takes some getting used to, since her only damage capability is her gun, but her kit is really powerful otherwise. Controlling health packs is a HUGE game changer, making pushes much more difficult on offense (I can't tell you how many times I've used the health pack und...

I've been playing more Zenyatta and he definitely feels like more of a contender now. The extra 50 shield makes a huge difference in his toughness, and he still hits like a truck even with the 5 damage reduction to his left click. His right click is still mostly useless though. I've only ever used i...

I played a round of the brawl last night before I went to bed, just to try Ana out, and it's definitely a tough position. You're a sniper, so you want to be farther away to keep out of direct conflict, but you have no way to reach the higher perches like Hanzo and Widow. You also have close-range ab...

Re: Overwatch

So they announced a new hero, Ana. She's a sniper healer. Her main attack is actually a DoT attack, but it runs its course in under a second so it doesn't really feel that way. The attack either will heal an ally, or damage an enemy, depending on who it hits. She also has a sleep dart as a secondary...

Re: Game of Thrones: The TV Show (novelisation coming soon)

Actually one of the biggest civil wars in Westerosi history is between two Targaryen women fighting over the Iron Throne. There's a whole novella about it. Though Rhaenyra is the king's oldest child and had been named his successor years before, Alicent and her supporters declare Rhaenyra unfit to ...

Re: Game of Thrones: The TV Show (novelisation coming soon)

I was talking about the show's succession, but in the books it's explicitly stated that Westeros, except for Dorne, officially follows the male line. We know they follow some form of male primogeniture but it isn't clear if in the absence of sons they default to daughters (I think that's the case) ...

Re: Game of Thrones: The TV Show (novelisation coming soon)

Continued spoilers Jon may have a good claim if Aegon ended up marrying Lyanna before she gave birth and died. There were a number of old Targaryens who were polygamists. I think you mean if Rhaegar ended up marrying Lyanna. And Jon having a claim would depend on if Jon is older than Aegon or not. ...

Re: Game of Thrones: The TV Show (novelisation coming soon)

I don't think there's anyone on the Baratheon line that's still alive to claim the throne. Denaerys probably doesn't have the strongest claim since there is a Targaryen branch in Robert's family tree (at his grand mother I think). Also had they specified succession in Game of Thrones was only the m...

Re: Game of Thrones: The TV Show (novelisation coming soon)

Especially since it's not clear how the line of succession would end up at Cersei anyway... probably it would go to some cousin of Tommen's on the Baratheon side. Officially, it should go to Stannis, who is dead. Which means it would go to any of his male heirs, which never existed. Which means it ...

Re: Factorio - automate ALL the things!

I would think this would depend greatly on how fast you intend to finish the game. The longer the game goes on, the more you start to run out of resources (mostly iron, in my experience) and have to set up new mining sites. I found you get a lot more efficiency from sticking with 1 resource per belt...

On the topic of Pharah, I think a lot of people are playing her wrong. In very low level games, the whole hovering around like a blimp and shooting rockets everywhere is pretty viable. Really? I've found it on par with DS1 (if perhaps with a slightly steeper learning curve), and far easier than DS2 since the autotracking and anti-backstab nonsense is gone, and rolling is good again.
