Re: The 2% Illusion

From what I've read, the logic of the stimulus works. From this article, published in the editorial section of the Wall Street Journal, we can't afford to pay for the stimulus in the way that President Obama is proposing. If income tax increases (and various other minor increases elsewhere) are not ...

Re: Global Warming or Global Cooling?

The problem is, with global climate change 'proof', that I really don't trust the media or 'scientific consensus' (the one I hear was all political from the get-go) to give me this proof. I would trust 'proof' from an educated, professional climatologist. I would also trust my own judgement, if I ha...

Re: Students give up privacy for *SMARTPHONES*

Do Americans have any legal right to privacy here? I know we have that pesky amendment and all, but that just says that the gov't can't watch you and whatnot. So consenting to giving up your privacy in exchange for the phone really isn't a rights issue. Because you can't really 'give up' a right. He...

I heard this on the radio and I thought it was a joke for a second. This and the shoot-out at the Toys r us in Palm desert.

This is really sad, but c'mon! Deals! With the economy the way it is, it would be a crime NOT to trample employees! </sarcasm>

I take a somewhat different approach. It doesn't take much to kill a person, if you're unlucky. The last thing you want to do is get hit, even once. Always be near an adult. Sit next to the teachers/security watching you at lunch, always be near a teacher and a another witness. If you're cornered an...
