Re: "Pep Rally" Discussion

We don't have pep rallies in England but that doesn't mean that we don't enjoy school rivalries. Rivalries are fun and we always considered the school in the next town (3 miles away) our rivals and therefore worse. It's a good source of banter and none of it is really meant, especially seeing as tho...

I could if it weren't for the SUVs.

And half of the roads I drive on are country lanes, national speed limit country lanes where your supposed 15mph is FAR too slow to the point of being dangerous.

Re: "SUV" Discussion

Noone rides at 5 mph. get a brain before you start mouthing off. Even at 15 or 25 mph, we'll only be delaying you by a few seconds. If a few seconds is a major delay for your journey, you either have blue flashing lights or your journey is way too short to be using a car. I have never witnessed a c...

Re: "SUV" Discussion

I know lot's have people have mentioned UK and european prices being much more than $4 per gallon but the Americans complaining at paying about 50p per litre actually made me laugh out loud. Absolutely brilliant. If you really want smug, talk to me or one of the other thousands of people in the worl...

Re: "Purity" Discussion

We got this argument in my A level physics class all the time. Most of us studied maths and chemistry as well (not many biologists, physics was a bit too much for them) but we had our different allegiances. I see a lot of people have the same sort of arguments. maths and physics will be all we need....

I read it as she put the bombs on the driveway, which would be under his car when he parked. I didn't actually think about that but considering the new alt-text that's almost definitely the case. I've noticed everyone seems to be hoping for a Mr & Mrs Smith relationship but am I the only one th...

Re: Top Gear!

Absolutely amazing show. It's strange how it works so well and just keeps getting better. The next season should contain a race as they are by far the best episodes. Loved Top Gear Ground Force Garden. Especially Hammond getting stuck in the cement and having to be lifted out by Clarkson, genius. Wh...

Closer

Potentially my favourite film. One for people who liked this http://xkcd.com/58/. Well, sort of, maybe. Has anyone else seen it? What did you make of it? I've been told it's pretentious and unrealistic and also that it's the best script of the modern era so I'm curious what everyone else thinks. It'...

Re: What's wrong with highschool dances?

Did no one else just get dressed up really nice, take a fancy limousine, have a few pictures with the family camera then turn up, get wasted and dance without a care in the world, irrelevant of what music was playing?

I had a great time.
